U24 The Coming of Jesus

3 times Jesus will come to earth

1. At Rapture we will meet the Lord in the cloud.

Mat 24:29-31 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

    At Rapture, trumpets will sound to herald in the King of kings and the Lord of lords. At the end of the trumpet, all eyes will see our Lord Jesus Christ coming in the cloud. At the twinkling of the eye, all His elects will be caught up to meet Him in th cloud.

1 Thess 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

2. Jesus will stand on Mount Olive to deliver the Israelites during the battle of Armegaddon (after Rapture)

Zechariah:14.4-5 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south. Then you shall flee through My mountain valley, for the mountain valley shall reach to Azal. Yes, you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake In the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Thus the LORD my God will come, and all the saints with You.

    After the Israelites have fled into the valley, our Lord's brightness will kill all the enemies surrounding Jerusalem that the tongues dissolve in their mouths, etc.

Zac 14:12 And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, and their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.

3. Jesus Millennium Rule or Second Coming, when our Lord Jesus will come to establish His rule on earth.

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

    After that our Lord will come down to Jerusalem to establish His Millennium Rule so that all nations can come to worship Him. He will teach them His words. This is normally referred to as His second coming.

Mic 4:2 Many nations shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Unfortunately, many unlearned in Endtime prophecies will lump these three events as one, thus confusing themselves and their loss of interest in Endtime prophecies. Meanwhile, opportunists (false prophets) will proclaim Jesus coming or end of the world at every serious calamity or unusual sign.
