Can World War 3 begin in 2018?

Dan 11:40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through.”

   This endtime war or World War 3, the last war before rapture will begin when the king of the South attacks the king of the North. The land of the endtime king of the South is now occupied by the present day Egypt and Israel. The land of the endtime king of the North is the area formerly occupied by the Persian Empire, and now comprising of Iran (Persia), Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.

    Is there possibility that Israel and Egypt, supported by all Arab states will form the Southern Alliance to attack Iran, the head of the Northern Alliance?

Balfour Declaration

    As soon as the Balfour Declaration was made known, the Palestinians and the whole Arab world opposed the formation of the nation of Israel in Palestine.

The Arab-Israeli War of 1948

    Prior to 1948, there was no nation of Israel and only by the British mandate that Israel was finally given only the wilderness and desert land (a small part of the Kingdom of David) to form the nation of Israel.

    On the very day of the formation of the nation of Israel, the armies from the 5 neighbouring Arab nations (Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt and Saudi Arabia) attacked the Israelites to send them into the Mediterranean Sea. But God fought for Israel and gave it the victory.

US Office of the Historian – After Israel declared its independence on May 14, 1948, the fighting intensified with other Arab forces joining the Palestinian Arabs in attacking territory in the former Palestinian mandate. On the eve of May 14, the Arabs launched an air attack on Tel Aviv, which the Israelis resisted. This action was followed by the invasion of the former Palestinian mandate by Arab armies from Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Egypt. Saudi Arabia sent a formation that fought under the Egyptian command.

Six-Day War (June 1967)

    Though the Israelites were outnumbered by its neighbouring Arabs, God not only delivered the Israelites, He also gave them the Promised Land occupied by King David.

The nations of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Algeria, and others also contributed troops and arms to the Arab forces. Following the war, the territory held by Israel expanded significantly (“The Purple Line”): The West Bank (including East Jerusalem) from Jordan, Golan Heights from Syria, Sinai and Gaza from Egypt.

Abominable Peace Treaty

    In 1993 the abominable PLO-Israel Peace Treaty was signed to give away the Promised Land given to Israel by God as their eternal inheritance.

Recent Developments

    Since 2011 when the IAEA reported that Iran was suspected of developing nuclear weapons, this fear of Iran, forced the alliance of two hostile enemies of Israel and Saudi Arabia. In 2017, visits by both nations were held to prevent Iran from controlling Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. They also discussed the possibility of attacking Iran. Iran has been boasting that the first nuclear bomb will be to annihilate Israel and the second is to annihilate Saudi Arabia.

This Southern Alliance of Israel and Egypt (proxy of Saudi Arabia and the Arab world) isexpected soon.
