2 Pet 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow theirdestructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

Destructive Heresies from the US

Once saved always saved

Causes Christians to be worldly and living unholy lives. Heb 6:4-6 stated that all those who had lost their salvation cannot be saved again with their names blotted out from the Book of Life (Rev 3:5, Rev 22:19)

Jesus coming is imminent

Causes Christians to be gullible in the last days. Hal Lindsey's books 'The Last Planet Earth' and ‘Left Behind’, the former being the bestseller in 1970, proclaimed the heresy that Jesus can come anytime. Rapture can only occur after the Great Tribulation (Mat 24:29-31; Mark 13:24-27; Luke 21:12-28; 2Thess 2:1-11).

Witch-hunting for Sins of Old

Causes Christians to feel insecure and condemned for their unknown sins before conversion and that they will not be forgiven if not confessed.

Christians – demon possessed

Causes Christians to doubt their salvation and their ability to serve God. Every Christian is the temple of God and cannot be defiled by demonic or evil spirits, otherwise he has lost his salvation. (1 Cor 3:16-17, 1 Cor 6:19-20)

Prosperity Gospel

Causes Christians to be worldly, covetous, carnal, selfish and unloving. Luke 16:15 For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.”

Observing Jewish Feasts

Gal 3:10-13; If any Christians cannot keep the whole Law of Moses (including circumcision, animal sacrifices, and feasts in the temple of God), then he is cursed.

Sodomite Bishops

Causes destruction to the faith of Christians by steering them to commit an abhorrent sin leading to death.

    Lev 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.

    Rom 1:27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Touch not the Anointed

Causes Christians to concur with heresies and distorted truth.

Gal 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

    Encourages leader to be carnal, worldly, covetous and heretic.

    2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers, and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

These so-called anointed false prophets who are famous, rich and powerful, mainly from the US, are teaching destructive heresies to massive congregations.
